Unanimous approval Voting items: Approval of $5000 allocation to Gallup Parks & Rec for summer season downtown sidewalk clean up work - Motion to approve $5,000 for City of Gallup Parks & Rec Department program for summer season downtown sidewalk cleanup work: A. Baca: 2nd: S. Chioda. Unanimous approval Applications for façade reimbursement: 1. Sammy C’s Sports Bar replacement of broken front window glass – Invoice: $324.94. BID fees paid - $834. 2. Millennium Media (Wells Fargo building) replacement of broken plate glass front window - $379. BID fees paid - $2999.70 Motion to approve reimbursement of $324.94 to Sammy C’s Sports bar and $379 to Millenium Media (J. Malti): A. Baca; 2nd: B. Newberry. Abstained: S. Chioda. Approved by all others present. Discussion items: Discussion and vote on Downtown summer security patrol contract. Proposals were received from Red Rock Security and Blackstone Security – tabled to June 2019 BID Board meeting. Security patrols will be provided during June by the currently approved firm, Red Rock Security, until June 30, which ends the BID fiscal year. Discussion – B. Newberry idea for UNM-Gallup to use Lexington Hotel for student housing. Discussion - Idea for an informational joint presentation by gallupARTS, BID, MainStreet to be held at El Morro Theater or Event Center, TBD. Discussion about date for Board work plan strategy retreat Discussion - a Sidewalk reimbursement program that would be structured like the sign grant reimbursement Discussed Proposal from Joe Athens to conduct Downtown Walking Tours. Proposal document does not specify the fee – tabled pending receipt of revised proposal with fee. Will be voted on during June meeting. Reports: April 26 – GGEDC luncheon to honor retiring NWNMCOG Director May 3 – meeting with Scott Clark, Area Manager, Blackstone Security to discuss Blackstone price proposal for security services in BID District during Summer 2019 May 6 – At McKinley County Courthouse, NM State Land Commissioner and McKinley County Commissioner signed planning agreement for potential development of land May 8 – Meeting with Jim Dumont, Field Representative for Senator Martin Heinrich May 8 – GGEDC Annual Business Luncheon May 10 – Meeting with Joe Athens to discuss his proposal to conduct Downtown Walking Tours during summer months May 10 – Executive Committee Meeting – review of May Board meeting agenda Date of BID strategy planning session – June 13, location TBD Date of next BID Board meeting – June 20, 3 pm, Rico Motors Motion to adjourn: B.
