Bonaguidi described securing funds to keep the Lexington open while a permanent plan is developed. Local Gallup LEDA program – Rep. Lundstrum asked BID Board members to submit ideas concerning any possible revision to the City of Gallup LEDA ordinance Family and Medical Leave legislation – Rep. Lundstrom asked BID Board members to write to elected officials to share their POV regarding the proposed Family and medical leave legislation that will be heard during the coming Legislative session. Investment Consortium project – building rehabs: discussions in process with several building owners and potential buyers. “Play-Sharity” downtown event reimbursement request for marketing expenditures. Board is in favor of supporting this request. Lighted Streetliner project is progressing Other Discussion Reports August 17 – BID Lien Resolution was affirmed by vote of BID Board of Directors. Resolution was included in the Agenda for the August 17 Board meeting and is included in the Minutes from that meeting. August 18 - Monthly GEDA meeting was held at McKinley County Annex building. McKinley County was host of the meeting. August 22 – Meeting with Peter Kahn, Executive Director, Keishi Foundation August 26 – Telephone meeting with Sheldon Bartel, NDC August 28 – Monthly Downtown Committee meeting August 29 – Meeting with Ted Gonzales to make preliminary plan for 2024 Downtown Gallup Car Show August 29 – Clay-Fultz Insurance office – obtained event insurance document for Arts Crawl events to be held from September 2023 – September 2024. August 30 – Meeting with City Clerk to review the BID Lien Ordinance. August 30 – Zoom meeting conducted by NM DOT to present the safety assessment of conditions on NM roads, bicycle lanes, sidewalks and intersection crossings, with emphasis on pedestrian safety. September 1 – Work session for GEDA members at County Annex building. Topic of discussion: planning and creation of workforce education programs. September 6 – Telephone meeting with Robert Hamblen to discuss details of the Event permit street closure requests for Arts Crawl during the next 12 months. September 8 – Meeting with Sherman McCorkle in Albuquerque. September 10–12 - Annual New Mexico Economic Development Conference, held at Albuquerque Convention Center. September 15 – Monthly GEDA meeting. Held at RMCH. RMCH was the host. September 20 – NM financial assistance available presented at UNM-G by Economic Development Department Economist. September 21 – BID regular monthly Board Meeting cancelled due to lack of quorum. Agenda items carried over to October meeting. September 22 – meeting with M. Bullock, ED, Gallup Main Street Arts & Cultural District to review request for BID grant reimbursement for marketing/ advertising costs for the Levitt AMP Music Series in Courthouse Plaza. September 25 – meeting of Downtown Coordinating Committee. Review of status of Lexington Hotel. September 26– Grant Workshop held at UNM-G September 26 – BID request for event permit to hold Arts Crawl events from October 2023 to September 2024 was approved by City Council. September 27 – meeting with Matt Robinson to discuss marketing October 3 – Cynthia Ferrari October 3 – Yogash Kumar October 3 – Discussion with Spencer Jones about 105 West Coal Avenue property and tax credit programs October 4 – BID work session to discuss possible rehab of buildings October 6 – Film & Media job fair and expo at UNM-G October 10 – meeting with Tammy Parker to discuss status of Lexington Hotel October 11 – meeting with Linda Garcia to discuss status of Lexington Hotel October 12 – Telephone meeting with Dave Rosales, Supersmith, about the fabrication of the lighted Streetliner to be placed at West Coal Avenue and 5th Street.
