Gallup BID Board Meeting March 21 2024, 3 PM at Rico Motors Minutes Call to order - Attendance: Roll call: Present: Anna Biava, A. Baca, J. Sanchez, L.Bonaguidi, L. Garcia, M.Menapace. Motion to Approve Agenda - L. Bonaguidi; 2nd: J. Sanchez. Roll call: A. Brava-Yes, A. Baca-yes, L. Garcia-yes; J. Sanchez- yes; M. Menapace-yes. Approved Motion to Approve Minutes: L. Bonaguidi, 2nd M. Menapace. Roll call: A. Brava-Yes, J. Sanchez-yes; M. Menapace-yes. Abstain: A Baca, L. Garcia. Approved Motion to Approve Monthly Financial Report: A. Baca, 2nd: M. Approved Voting items - Friday Night Rides security - Quote from Rd Rock Security Patrol - - Two guards for Eight Friday night events - Total amount requested for 2024 season: $1815.45 Approved. Discussion items: d Alley infrastructure replacement project, between 2nd & 3 Streets and Coal Avenue & Aztec Avenue – update by Interim City Manager Lexington Hotel status - update by Interim City Manager RMCH update - no change in status. Repaint/replace the sign section in the BID Welcome to Gallup monuments - Work with sign company on new BID logo Monthly Arts Crawl - Coordinator - still searching for new coordinator - Activities in Event Center during Arts Crawl Play Sharity will exhibit outside, along Coal Avenue; OFPL and gallupARTS will provide kids/family activities - Paving project in the alley may affect using the Walkway on April 13 event - hope for completion before the date of the event. Discussions with Comcast management re: historic post office building. Made appointment for meeting between Comcast and Mayor Bonaguidi at Gallup City Hall. Other Discussion - L. Bonaguidi requested BID Director fill out Property owner/business owner USDA loan/grant applications. - BID Director stated that coaching/mentoring the business/property owners is appropriate. Filling out application forms, including the financial statements, is not appropriate. Activity, by category, February 22, 2024 to March 21, 2024 1. Housing Initiative “Restoring Our Communities Program”_MFA Housing Innovation Notice of Funding Availability 2. West end of BID District Telephone meetings with Hinkley Signs and Supersmith about lighted Streetliner project 3. Beautification/Signage Rex Museum neon sign and City Parking neon sign restorations are scheduled to be completed and signs reinstalled in late February or early March Repaint/replace the painted Welcome portion of the BID’s monuments at gateway locations. Wait for new logo 4. Security None this month “Friday Night Rides” request for two guards at each monthly event this season . Cost $1815 for entire season. 5. Events Gallup Main Street Arts & Cultural District will again request BID downtown event marketing reimbursement grant for Levitt AMP Music Concert Series, which will continue next year. First Arts Crawl event in 2024 will take place on April 13 Car show planning meetings Economic Development I-40 Corridor Study Discussions with Cynthia Ferrari, Yogash Kumar. Route 66 parking issues and NM DOT Safety Plan Meeting with Peter Kahn at Keishi Foundation for Zuni art and Z-art Gallery Meeting with Laura Ippel, Executive Director at Play-Sharity Gallup to discuss plan to secure a building in the BID district for children’s museum. 7.
