Board Members would like to plan for a KGCB - May 2nd Annual Trash Clean-up day Community Challenge competition to include sports, cheerleaders, and booster clubs. Greg would like to provide cash prizes for the clubs that pick-up the most trash poundage. Coordinate with the RSWA for trucks to weigh in and weight out the trash they picked up at the scales. Greg suggested have City Councilors be District Trash Pick-Up Leaders, he will ask Councilor Landavazo. Have containers for sharps Invite businesses all over the city to participate such as Rico Auto. This Clean-Up event is similar to the State Highway program of Adopt-a-Highway clean-up program with McKinley County. Elizabeth is working with the City Attorney to create a MOU to collaborate with County inmates & detainees help to pick-up trash areas. It was mentioned to make a KGCB initiative, and County incentive. In the past, Judge Baca gave out mandatory community service sentences.
