PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AGENDA Wednesday, April 13, 2011, 7:00 p.m. City Hall Council Chambers *** Call to Order / Roll Call *** Approval of March 9th, 2011 Meeting Minutes PUBLIC HEARINGS ITEM ONE: CASE# 11-00600001: request by Melody Sauceda and Fernando Benally, property owners, for the rezoning of 4.574 acres from Rural Holding Zone (RHZ) District to Rural Residential (RR) District. The rezone is being requested to allow for subdivision of the property for future development. The property is located at 1111 Milda Avenue, more particularly described as Lot #2, Southland Hills Addition, Unit 2. ITEM TWO: CASE# 11-01100002: request by Mary Jean Christensen, agent for the Business Improvement District (BID) to place a non-lighted, 8’x8’ (64 Sq Ft.) monument type sign in the public right of way at 950 W. Aztec Avenue. The property is located on the Northeast corner of Aztec Avenue and 11th Street, more particularly described as Block 4A Lot 1 being a Replat of Taira Sub, A/K/A Taira Sub #2 Vogel West Triangle Replat. ITEM THREE: CASE# 11-00900001: Repeal of the 2006 New Mexico Administrative Code Title 14 NMAC Chapters 5-10 and adoption by ordinance of the updated 2009 New Mexico Administrative Code Title 14 NMAC Chapters 5-10, which the City will utilize as the official building code of the City of Gallup. ITEM FOUR: CASE# 11-00900002: Repeal of the 2006 International Property Maintenance Code and adoption by ordinance of the updated 2009 International Property Maintenance Code, which the City will utilize to enforce property maintenance and upkeep.
