Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 6:00 PM
Chair Cooley called the meeting to order at 6:02pm.
The roll call found Cooley, Martin and Talamantes present.
We saluted the American Flag.
Old Business:
The minutes of the last meeting, August 26, 2020, were presented. Cooley
moved and Talamantes seconded to approve the minutes. The motion carried with a
vote of 3-0.
New Business:
The City Manager, Lorenzo Hines, gave an overview of Measure R including the
Maintenance of Effort benchmarks set by the original measure.
Interim Chief of Police, Brian Kalinowski spoke briefly about the department and Measure R.
The City of Galt’s Finance Director, Claire Tyson, presented an overview of the capital
purchases from Measure R funds between 2019 and 2021 as previously requested by
the Measure R Committee.
Interim Police Chief, Brian Kalinowski, presented the police department’s “year to date”
expenditure/budget tracking document for review, absent audited and published current
figures for the committee. Committee requested copies of sales tax payments with
future financial reports.
