CITY OF GALT MEASURE R OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES ANTHONY PESCETTI COMMUNITY ROOM 455 INDUSTRIAL DRIVE, GALT, CALIFORNIA Wednesday, January 24, 2024, 6:00 PM This meeting was held in the Anthony Pescetti Community Room. A. CALL MEETING TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE: Chief Kalinowski called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm and led flag salute. B. ROLL CALL: 1. Committee Members Present: Brossman, Clendenin, Harvey, Mooney, Nelson. 2. Committee Members Absent: None C. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: 1. The Minutes of the last meeting, October 25, 2023, were presented. Motion made by Brossman to approve Minutes. Second made by Harvey. The motion carried on a vote of 5-0. D. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Elect Chair. Motion made by Mooney to elect Harvey as Committee Chair. Second made by Nelson. The motion carried on a vote of 5-0. Elect Vice Chair. Motion made by Harvey to elect Mooney as Committee Vice Chair. Second made by Clendenin. The motion carried on a vote of 5-0. 2. 2023/2024 Measure R 2nd Quarter Financial Report – Overview This report was presented by Finance Director Matthew Boring and reviewed by the Committee. 3. 2023/2024 Measure R 2nd Quarter Financial Report – Quarterly This report was presented by Finance Director Matthew Boring and reviewed by the Committee. 4. 2023/2024 Measure R 2nd Quarter Financial Report – Monthly This report was presented by Finance Director Matthew Boring and reviewed by the Committee. MEASURE R OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE MEETING OF JANUARY 24, 2024 PAGE 2 5. 2022/2023 Final Report This report was presented by Finance Director Matthew Boring and reviewed by the Committee. E. PRESENTATION: None F. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: 1. Mayor Sandhu thanked everyone for serving on this committee. 2. Chief Kalinowski announced: a. The City Council approved an additional SRO position. b. PD will be seeking approval to hire a Booking Officer to assist with booking arrestee’s at the main jail. G. COMMENTS BY COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Clendenin asked a couple of questions. Chief Kalinowski answered her questions.
