1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER

3. ROLL CALL: COMMISSIONERS: Jones, Gerling, Pratton, Hood, and Denier.
4. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Under Government Code §54954.3 members of the audience may address the
Commission on non-agenda items. Speakers may address the Commission on any agenda item during
consideration of the item. Speakers shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject
matter jurisdiction to the Planning Commission and limit comments to a maximum of three minutes.
Please fill out a speaker sheet located on the table inside the entrances to the council chambers and
forward the completed speaker sheet to the Recording Secretary.
5. INFORMATION/CONSENT CALENDAR:
A. SUBJECT: Minutes of the November 10, 2021 Special Meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission approve the minutes of the November 10,
2021 Special Meeting.
6. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. SUBJECT: California Waste Recovery Systems (Cal-Waste) Materials Recovery and Recycling
Facility (MRRF) and Transfer Station Project - Tonnage Modification Conditional Use Permit
(CUP) Amendment.
The existing facility operates as a 480 tons per day Materials Recovery and Recycling Facility
(MRRF) and 150 tons per day Transfer Station totaling 630 tons per day limit. This modification
would keep the facility processing the 630 tons per day limit, with no internal limits on the Transfer
Station or Materials Recovery and Recycling Facility.
RECOMMENDATION: 1) Receive a presentation, 2) Open public hearing to receive comments,
and 3) Upon closing the public hearing, consider the resolution approving amendment of Cal-
Waste’s CUP for 630 combined tons per day of commingled recyclables, municipal solid waste,
green waste, and construction and demolition materials per day at 175 Enterprise Court.
