CALL MEETING TO ORDER PLEDGE OF ALLEGAINCE 2. ROLL CALL: COMMISSIONERS: Denier, Hood, Jones, Gerling, and Rodriguez. 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Under Government Code Section 54954.3, members of the audience may address the Commission on non-agenda items. Speakers may address the Commission on any agenda item during consideration of the item. Speakers shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject matter jurisdiction to the Planning Commission and limit comments to a maximum of three minutes. Please fill out a speaker sheet located on the table inside the entrances to the council chambers and forward the completed speaker sheet to the Recording Secretary. 4. INFORMATION/CONSENT CALENDAR: A. SUBJECT: Election of Officers RECOMMENDATION: Pursuant to Galt Municipal Code §2.70.060, election of a Planning Commission Chairman and Vice Chairman shall be conducted at the first regular meeting of the following year after a January 1st of each year. B. SUBJECT: Minutes of the November 10, 2022 Regular Meeting. RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission approve the minutes of the November, 2022 Regular Meeting. 5. PUBLIC MEETING: A. SUBJECT: 2021-2029 Housing Element Site 18 Study Session RECOMMENDATION: 1) Receive a staff presentation; 2) Comments and questions from the Planning Commission; 3) Open public workshop and receive comments from the public; 4) Additional comments and questions from the Planning Commission; 5) Provide direction to staff and return on March 9 for a public hearing. CITY OF GALT PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA PAGE 2 REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 9, 2023 B. SUBJECT: Housing Element Annual Progress Report for 2022 RECOMMENDATION: Review the Annual Housing Element Annual Progress Report for 2022 and recommend that the City Council direct staff to submit it to the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) in accordance with Government Code §65400. 6. PUBLIC HEARING: None DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Legal Updates and overview for the Planning Commission. Review of Brown Act laws 7.
