PUBLIC COMMENTS: Under Government Code Section 54954.3, members of the audience may address the Commission on non-agenda items. Speakers may address the Commission on any agenda item during consideration of the item. Speakers shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject matter jurisdiction to the Planning Commission and limit comments to a maximum of three minutes. Please fill out a speaker sheet located on the table inside the entrances to the Council Chambers and forward the completed speaker sheet to the Recording Secretary. 4. INFORMATION/CONSENT CALENDAR: A. SUBJECT: Minutes of the June 8, 2023 Regular Meeting. RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission approve the minutes of the June 8, 2023 Regular Meeting. 5. PUBLIC HEARING: A. SUBJECT: Morali Estates Rezone and New Architecture (floor plans and elevations) Proposal The project applicant is proposing new architecture to replace the current approved architecture from 2005. In accordance with Ordinance 2005-04, the proposed architecture application must be processed as a Rezone application instead of a Design Review application. A rezone application is subject to a recommendation by the Planning Commission, with official approval or denial by the City Council. CITY OF GALT PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA PAGE 2 REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 13, 2023 RECOMMENDATION: 1) Receive a staff presentation; 2) Receive Applicant presentation; 3) Open public hearing to receive comments, and 4) Upon closing public hearing, make a recommendation to the City Council. City Staff does not support the current request, and is not recommending approval. CEQA: Exempt from CEQA per Section 15182 (Residential Projects Pursuant to a Specific Plan) 6.
