l. DECLARATION OF A QUORUM AND CALL MEETING TO ORDER
a. With a quorum present, the meeting was called to order at 2:07 pm
Present: Chairman Nick Barbee, Trey Click, Becky Major, Pat Jakobi, Ken Shelton,
Michael Woody, Kathleen DiNatale , Dr. Craig Brown, Mayor Pro-Tem,
David Collins, City Councilperson,
b. Review Minutes: July and August minutes reviewed
Motion to accept minutes by Pat Jakobi, second Nick Barbee
c. Word on the Street
d. Public comment on agenda items
ll. REPORTS
a. Josh Ojeda/Parks Board /Cultural Master Plan report: reaching out to other cities for
ideas and analytics in their approach to Public Art, cities suggested Ashville, Santa Fe,
NM
lll. DISCUSSION
a. Refining our definition of Public Art as “art that exists as a medium in the public
sphere sponsored by a public entity that is free and accessible to the public”
lll. ACTION ITEMS (carried over from last month due to Hurricane Laura evacuation)
a. Send City Flag CFP to City Council
b. Send Artist Grant to CFP to City Council
IV. ADJOURNMENT: 2:25pm
