GARDEN CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES NOVEMBER 14, 2024 7:30 P.M. LIBRARY SMALL MEETING ROOM APPROVED MINUTES A Special Meeting of the Board of Library Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. Present: J. Randolph Colahan, Chair Lola Nouryan, Vice Chair Mary Maguire, Trustee Colleen Foley, Trustee Linda Ryan, Trustee Also Present: Marianne Malagon, Library Director Ralph Guiteau, Assistant Library Director Courtney Rutt Rosenblatt, Secretary to the Village Board of Trustees 1. Call to Order: Trustee Colahan called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Colahan followed by a moment of silence. 3. Approval of Agenda: Trustee Colahan moved approval of the Agenda. Trustee Nouryan seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. 4. Move into Executive Session to Discuss Personnel Matters: Trustee Colahan moved approval that the meeting enter Executive Session to discuss various personnel matters. Trustee Maguire seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. The meeting entered Executive session at 7:33 p.m. Director Malagon entered Executive session at 7:43 p.m. Director Malagon exited Executive session at 7:45 p.m. Assistant Director Guiteau entered Executive session at 7:47 p.m. Assistant Director Guiteau exited Executive session at 7:48 p.m. 5. Vote to Exit Executive Session: Trustee Colahan moved approval that the meeting exit Executive Session; Trustee Foley seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. The meeting exited Executive session at 7:54 p.m. 6. Vote to Adjourn: There being no further business to discuss, Trustee Colahan moved approval to adjourn the meeting, Trustee Ryan seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
