Bandstand Committee

MEETING MINUTES – BANDSTAND COMMITTEE Thursday, October 5th, 2023 – DPW OFFICE, 50 MANCA DR. Members Present: Nancy Binder; Edward Vipond; Michael Zlotnik; Denise Merriam; Donna Russo was absent. Call to Order: Mike called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Nancy second Open meeting recording: Mike asked if anyone was recording the meeting. None Acceptance of minutes: The minutes from 9/21/2023 were accepted. Mike motioned: Nancy second. Correspondence: Mike will reach out to Steve Babineau to fill the committee member role. Denise followed up with the Mayor’s office. Food truck festival will be on the 7/13/2023 from 4pm – 7pm Other Business: Members will review Eli Elkus; will keep him on as a back up Nancy will follow up with Green Sisters and Mr. Strickland, Remedy Flock of Assholes about days that they are available. Ed will follow up with Lynn from Gold Dust to see if they know of any other bands that might be interested in performing; along with reaching out to Viva Las Elvis to confirm their date. Mike will follow up with Steve Babineau to see if he will come to the next meeting (10/19/2023) to meet with the committee. He will also be following up with City Music and Jumping Juba to confirm their performance dates. Discussion about getting new sponsors. Majority of the concert days are scheduled but will be confirmed later on in the season. The following days are available: 8/3; 8/17; 8/24 Motion to adjourn by Mike and seconded by Denise at 4:30pm.
