MEETING MINUTES – BANDSTAND COMMITTEE Thursday, November 9th, 2023 – DPW OFFICE, 50 MANCA DR. Members Present: Nancy Binder; Edward Vipond; Michael Zlotnik; Denise Merriam; Donna Russo was absent. Call to Order: Mike called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Ed motioned; Nancy second Open meeting recording: Mike asked if anyone was recording the meeting. None Acceptance of minutes: The minutes from 10/19/2023 were accepted. Mike motioned: Nancy second. Correspondence: Anna Dikerson had reached out to discuss performing for the 2024 Concert Season Donna Russo had reached out stating she will no longer be participating as a member for the Bandstand committee Other Business: Discussion about getting new sponsors. Received check from Binder Law office Will be reaching out to the following sponsors: Fidelity, Russ Blake, GFA Athol Saving, Polish American, VA North Central, Garder Lions Club, Anthony Liquor, Heywood Place, Lapointe Law, Pete’s Tire Barn, Fitness Concepts, Salvadore Looking for new members to replace Mark. Discussion of rain dates. If performers cannot perform on the following Sunday, they will not be able to reschedule. The concert dates are fully scheduled but will be confirmed later on in the season. Elvis will be starting at the opening season Jumpin’ Juba will be scheduled on 8/17/2023 instead of 7/22/2023, and Ashbrook Hayes will be scheduled on 7/22/2023 instead of 8/17/2023 Chris Comb will not be performing unless we have a performer cancel Motion to adjourn by Nancy and seconded by Ed at 3:55pm.
