5:00 Meeting called to order
5:02 Meeting minutes dated March 21, 2016 revised.

5:07 Alex Urquhart, one of three owners of 205 School Street. They are looking for a variance for
An ADA compliant unisex handicap bathroom to be installed on the 4th floor. There is a men’s
and women’s bathroom there now, the unisex bathroom will be built in the footprint of the men’s
bathroom with its own entrance. The board made a motion to grant a variance and for Jennifer
to type up a letter for the contractor, Jay Drake to submit to the plumbing examiners in Boston,
they will approve or deny the variance at the state level.
5:15 The board members signed the Funeral Directors permit for the year 2016-2017.
5:20 Unattended Donation Boxes: Jennifer explained to the board about the problems we have had in
the past with the unattended donation boxes. Jennifer contacted the city of Fitchburg and found
out that they have regulations for such boxes. With some discussion, the board made a motion to
look over the city of Fitchburg’s regulations on unattended donation boxes at their next meeting.
This will be added to the agenda for May meeting.
5:30 Old Business: Crusiers: Jennifer reported that Crusiers has done a “full-fledged turn around”.
Inspections since the re-opening have been good. Paul Johnson, “T.Paul” has taken ownership of
the restaurant. Jennifer has suggested that the workers smoke in the back of the building. Mr
Tobia asked if the fire department is all set with Crusiers as well. Jennifer reported, the fire
department advised, operations can continue but wants the exhaust system replaced and the
cleaning of those exhaust fans has to be done on a regular bases.
Tobacco Regulations: After some discussion on regulations restricting the sale of flavored tobacco
products, a motion was made to table further discussion until May when all the board members
are present.
5:35 New Business: The flu clinics have been scheduled for 2016. Rain Barrels are being ordered.
Payment will come from a recycling grant up front, the parties will preorder their rain barrel and
Pay a fee that has not been determined yet. Susan asked if we could put Sandra Knipe on the
June agenda to update the members on region 2 emergency preparedness.
