Health Director - Attorney Geoffrey Tobia, Chairperson Susan Avallone, Member Dr. John Mulqueen, Member RE: Board of Health meeting held on Monday, June 20, 2016 5:00 Meeting called to order 5:02 Meeting minutes dated June 20, 2016 review and to be signed. 5:05 Sandy Knipe and Forest Price were not able to make the meeting, rescheduled for July meeting. 5:07 Discussion of the regulations for unattended donation boxes. Jennifer handed out the City of Fitchburg’s application for unattended donation boxes to the board. Responsibility of the boxes on specific properties does fall on the property owner. However, the owner of the property does get paid to have the unattended donation box on their property. The board tabled any further discussion on the unattended donation boxes until the July meeting. 5:30 Tobacco Flavor Product Regulations with Joan Hamlet, Gardner Tobacco Agent: The board went through section by section and reviewed with one another and Joan the answers to their previous questions in regards to specific sections of the regulations. Joan will draft a clean copy of the regulations with the changes and will then send them to EU Willson, at Mass Municipal for his review and will cc them to Jennifer. Jennifer will send copies with the changes to each of the board members. 5:35 New Business: The board members have voted to have John Mulqueen as the Chairperson. They also decided that the chain of command would be as follows: John Mulqueen called first, Sue Avallone called second, and Geoffrey Tobia called third. This would be in the event of any medical issues that might arise in the city that would need to be addressed between meetings. 5:58 Next meeting, Monday, July 25, 2016.
