Geoffrey Tobia, Member Minutes for Board of Health meeting held on Monday, March 26, 2018 __________________________________________________________________________________ 5:10 Meeting called to order 5:11 Minutes dated February 26, 2018 review change, sign. Minutes dated March 26, 2018 review and sign. 5:20 Smoke Shops discussion: The board had questions regarding the minutes from the board of health meeting dated February 26, 2018. Jennifer and Dr. Mulqueen will listen to the recording and make any necessary changes. 5:30 Old Business: Dr. Mulqueen asked “where are we with cannabis”? The Massachusetts Association of Health Boards have scheduled a webinar for Tuesday March 27, 2018. The topic of discussion will be regarding private and medical adult – use of marijuana. A more comprehensive check list for local regulatory options, and the Cannabis Commission Committees regulations will be addressed at this webinar as well. Jennifer and Lauren registered to participate in the webinar. Jennifer will try to record the webinar for the board. The Montachusett Regional Planning Commission is holding a seminar on Wednesday March 28, 2018. Jennifer and Susan Avalon are planning on attending. The MRPC will be discussing “recreational marijuana and how it relates to you”. Jennifer believes that KP Law will be at this seminar, as well as the Cannabis Control Commission. 5:40 New Business: Lineage Vapors at 18 Parker Street is now open. Jennifer reported that there are no tobacco products being sold in the Lineage Vapors, they are only selling water vaping materials. Jennifer updated the board regarding the Medicinal marijuana dispensary that will be opening on Pearson Boulevard in the building located between Friendly’s and Anthony’s liquor store, in a couple of months. Gardner Spirits located in Timpany Plaza will be moving to the corner of Union Street and East Broadway, where the old Pewter Owl was. The old building will be taken down and a new one will be constructed in its place. Jennifer received the architectural plans for the Timpany Cross Roads development, which will be located on the corner of W. Broadway and Timpany Blvd. A 99 Restaurant will be constructed here and the restaurant will have 200 seats. There will be two other buildings constructed at this site as well.
