COUNCIL CAUCUS MEETING MINUTES CITY OF GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OHIO Monday, March 9, 2020 Council President Pro Tem Michael Nenadovich called the Caucus Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Members Present: Jason Blake, Councilman Ward 5 Shayla Davis, Councilwoman Ward 4 Charles Donahue, Councilman Ward 2 Michael Dudley, Sr., Councilman Ward 1 Michael Nenadovich, Councilman Ward 3 Tom Vaughn, Councilman Ward 7 Member Excused: Matt Burke, Councilman Ward 6 Clmn Dudley would offer the invocation and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Clmn Vaughn moved to excuse Clmn Burke from the Caucus Meeting and Clmn Donahue seconded. His motion stood approved by 6 Yes (Vaughn, Dudley, Donahue, Nenadovich, Davis, Blake) and 1 Absent (Burke) vote. Clmn Blake moved to accept the Minutes of the Caucus Meeting for Monday, February 24, 2020 as written. His motion stood approved by 6 Yes (Blake, Vaughn, Dudley, Donahue, Nenadovich, Davis) and 1 Absent (Burke) votes. Clmn Blake would dispose of the Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of February 24, 2020. There were no written communications to Council. Clmn Nenadovich commented on the liquor permit requested by GKG Investments at 4608 Turney Road. He bore no objection to it; however, there is no parking at all available there. Therefore, Clmn Nenadovich would like the matter to go before the Planning Commission. Clmn Nenadovich advised that as part of the Legislative Committee this week’s Neighborhood News would carry an article addressing Parental Responsibility for Children, Ordinance 351.01. ORDINANCE NO. 25-2020 Clmn Vaughn advised that he would move to place in Building Committee ORDINANCE NO. 26-2020 Clmn Dudley advised that he would move to consider by title. ORDINANCE NO. 27-2020 Clwn Davis advised that she would move to consider by title. ORDINANCE NO. 28-2020 Clmn Donahue advised that he would move to consider by title. ORDINANCE NO. 29-2020 Clmn Blake advised that he would move to consider by title. ORDINANCE NO. 30-2020 Clmn Blake advised that he would move to consider by title. RESOLUTION NO. 06-2020 Clmn Vaughn advised that he would announce it as withdrawn. RESOLUTION NO. 07-2020 Clwn Davis advised that she would move to consider by title. RESOLUTION NO. 08-2020 Clmn Vaughn advised that he would move to consider by title. 1 Clmn Vaughn moved to adjourn the Caucus Meeting, Clmn Dudley seconded and the motion stood approved by 6 Yes (Vaughn, Dudley, Donahue, Nenadovich, Davis, Blake) and 1 Absent (Burke) votes.
