MINUTES OF A REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OHIO Monday- August 11, 2025 -7:00 PM CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm. PRESIDENT JOHNSON: I want to thank everyone for being in attendance, and I want to welcome you to the meeting. I want to say good evening and welcome to the regular meeting of the Council of Garfield heights. Today is August the 11th, Monday 2025, and at this time, we will have our invocation and Pledge of Allegiance by Councilman Smith. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CLMN SMITH: Before we go into our prayer, I would like to take a moment to have a moment of silence for Mr. Chuck Donahue, who served on city council, and we learned of his passing, and we just want to lift up his family in prayer at this time. So if we would just take a moment of silence as it relates to him. Eternal God, our Father, we come now thanking and praising you for this opportunity to share, to lift up your name and our business even. We ask that you direct our path. We ask Lord God that you bring the cohesiveness that we need. We ask Lord God that you lead us and guide us. We ask that you bless this event right now, in the name of Jesus, Amen. At this time, can we have a reading and disposal of our last minutes? DISPOSAL OF LAST MEETING MINUTES CLWN COLLIER: Mr. President, I ask that we dispose of the meetings of the regular caucus meeting for Monday, July 14, 2025. PRESIDENT JOHNSON: Is it our Regular meeting? CLWN COLLIER: Yes, I'm sorry, that's the regular council meeting. PRESIDENT JOHNSON: A motion have been placed on the floor by Councilwoman Collier for the disposal of our last council conference and meeting. Can I get a second, please? (Kelley-I Second) It's been so moved in second by Councilman Kelley. All those in favor say yes. Any opposed say no. (7 Yes- 0 No) The yes have it. (7 Yes - 0 No) -1-
