Box 428 Genoa City, WI 53128 262-279-6472 Office ▪ 262-279-6618 Fax Planning Commission Meeting Minutes Thursday, January 12th, 2022 @ 6:30 p.m. COMMISSION 1) Call to Order/Roll Call MEMBERS Chairperson Parker called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 6:30 PM Ken Parker 2) Approval of Minutes: December 8th, 2022 Planning Commission Minutes Chairperson Member Sherman/Krause motion to approve; carried 5-0 Jim Krause Trustee 3) Unfinished Business: None Scott Popenhagen Member 4) New Business: a) Discussion and possible approval of a CSM submitted by The Village of Genoa City Mark Santner with CP Rental Properties located at TA383400004 at 424 - 438 WISCONSIN ST Member GENOA CITY, WI 53128 for ROW. Patrick Sherman Member Engineer Foss explained that this is Village initiated, due to when train vacated and sold off lands, CSMs for ROW were not done. This will clean up ROW issues in that area, Jerad Smith - A which allows the Village to properly maintenance the roadway and underground utilities. Member Sherman/DeLong motion to approve; carried 5-0 Joyce DeLong Member b) Public Hearing on a Conditional Use Permit Application under 310.50 A(2k) which has been submitted by The Village of Genoa City in conjunction with the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office to propose use of site for a communications tower PARCEL#s TVGC00105B and TA441100002 at VACANT Land, Genoa City, WALWORTH COUNTY, WI. Sherman/Popenhagen motion to open hearing; Parker-Y, Krause-Y, Popenhagen-Y, Santner-Y, Sherman-Y, DeLong-Y No Public Comments Sherman/DeLong motion to close; carried 5-0 c) Conditional Use Permit Application under 310.50 A(2k) which has been submitted by The Village of Genoa City in conjunction with the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office to propose use of site for a communications tower PARCEL#s TVGC00105B and TA441100002 at VACANT Land, Genoa City, WALWORTH COUNTY, WI. Capt. Neumann with the Walworth County Sheriff;s Department and Engineer Foss were present to represent this project. Spoke to change design from water tower mount to 180’ freestanding tripod communications tower, negating the costs and removal of equipment when the water tower needs to be maintained. BIZA DeLuca has no concerns. Director Cole has no concerns. There will be a dual fuel generator on site. Grounds will be fenced in. Comm tower will allow for other agency rentals and have a minimum impact on bike jumps in Memorial Park.
