MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL IN SPECIAL MEETING OF
THURSDAY DECEMBER 21, 2017 AT 5:00 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER 1, ROOM 233
50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Victor Petersen,
Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Eddie Cook, Brigette Peterson,
Jordan Ray and Jared Taylor
COUNCIL ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: Manager Patrick Banger, Clerk Lisa Maxwell, Town Attorney

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Jenn Daniels called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m.
RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION
A MOTION was made by Councilmember Scott Anderson, seconded by Councilmember
Brigette Peterson, to recess to Executive Session pursuant to:
a) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3), (4), and (7) for discussion and consultation for legal advice from the
Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with designated Town representatives
concerning the sale of park land;
b) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3), (4) and (7) for legal advice from the Town Attorney and for
discussion and consultation with designated Town representatives concerning negotiations,
leases, and agreements involving the Gilbert University Building; and
c) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3) for discussion or consultation for legal advice with the Town Attorney
concerning funding policies.
Motion carried 7-0.
ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Jenn Daniels reconvened the Special meeting at 6:25 p.m.
ADJOURN

NOTICE TO PARENTS: Parents and legal guardians have the right to consent before the
Town of Gilbert makes a video or voice recording of a minor child. A.R.S. 1-602.A.9. Gilbert
Council Meetings are recorded and maybe viewed on Channel 11 and the Gilbert website. If you
permit your child to participate in the Council Meeting, a recording will be made. If your child is
seated in the audience your child may be recorded, but you may request that your child be seated
in a designated area to avoid recording. Please submit your request to the Town Clerk.
