MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY MARCH 24, 2020 AT 5:30 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER 1, ROOM 233, 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Scott Anderson, Councilmembers Brigette Peterson, Jordan Ray, Jared Taylor, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Lisa Maxwell, and Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Daniels called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. ADJOURN SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by Councilmember Ray, to recess to Executive Session pursuant to a) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3), (4), and (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning submittals received pursuant to a request for qualifications for the disposition of 2.18 acres of land in the Heritage District located on the northwest corner of Gilbert and Elliot Roads; b) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3), (4), and (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning acquisition of real property by eminent domain for a sewer line along the Cloud Road alignment between Val Vista and Greenfield Roads; and c) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney concerning the Town’s Proclamation of Emergency. Motion carried 7-0.
