MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY JUNE 16, 2020 AT 5:30 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER I, ROOM 233 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Scott Anderson, Councilmembers Yung Koprowski, Scott September, Bill Spence, Jared Taylor, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Lisa Maxwell, and Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Daniels called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Yentes, seconded by Councilmember Taylor, to recess the special meeting and reconvene in Executive Session: a) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3), (4), and (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning submittals received pursuant to a request for proposal for the disposition of 2.18 acres of land in the Heritage District located on the northwest corner of Gilbert and Elliot Roads; and b) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney concerning zoning and entitlements for properties located on the southwest corner of Gilbert and Warner Roads. c) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3), (4), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Phoenix and a development agreement with AES Direct Express, LLC (d/b/a SKU Distribution) regarding establishment of a Foreign Trade Zone site. This item has been removed from the agenda. d) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(1), consider appointment of regular members to the Veterans and Military Advisory Board. Motion carried 7-0. 1 ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Daniels adjourned the Executive Session and reconvened the Special Meeting.
