MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY MAY 18, 2021 AT 5:30 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER I, ROOM 300 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Scott September, Kathy Tilque, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Deputy Clerk Judy Martinez, Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Vice Mayor Koprowski, to recess to Executive Session pursuant to: A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1) to conduct employment evaluation and discuss assignments of Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera and Town Attorney Christopher Payne. A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (4), discussion or consultation for legal advice and to consider the Town’s position and instruct the Town’s attorneys concerning a lease agreement with the Strand @ Gilbert, LLC. This item was removed from the agenda and will not be discussed. Motion carried 7-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson reconvened the meeting at 6:08 p.m. A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Councilmember September to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
