MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 2021 AT 5:45 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER I, ROOM 300, 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Scott September, Kathy Tilque, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Attorney Christopher Payne, and Deputy Town Clerk Judy Martinez AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember September, seconded by Councilmember Tilque, to recess to Executive Session pursuant to: a) A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (4), (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the lease agreement with The Strand @ Gilbert for property located near the southwest corner of Greenfield Road and Queen Creek Road; and *correct location is southwest corner of Higley Road and Queen Creek Road b) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the San Tan Adventure Park Appeal (DR20- 182). Motion carried 7-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson reconvened the meeting at 7:49 p.m. A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
