MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 2022 AT 6:00 PM, GILBERT PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING, TRAINING ROOM 6, 75 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Vice Mayor Aimee Yentes, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Yung Koprowski, Scott September, and Kathy Tilque COUNCIL ABSENT: Councilmember Laurin Hendrix STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Tilque to recess Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to: a) A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3),(4), (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning request for proposal submittals for the development and disposition of land near the northwest corner of Gilbert and Elliot Roads; and b) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning legal aspects of right-of-way acquisition and condemnation process. Motion carried 4-0, with Vice Mayor Yentes and Councilmember Koprowski joining virtually after the vote. 1 ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Councilmember September to adjourn Executive Session and reconvene Special Meeting.
