MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 2022 AT 5:30 PM, GILBERT PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING FACILITY, ECHO ROOM, 6860 S. POWER ROAD, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Yung Koprowski, and Scott September COUNCIL ABSENT: Vice Mayor Aimee Yentes, Councilmember Laurin Hendrix, Councilmember Kathy Tilque STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember September, seconded by Councilmember Koprowski to recess Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to: a) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3),(4), (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the lease of property at 119 N. Gilbert Road; and b) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning addition of property to a parkway improvement district located near Baseline Road and Corrine Drive; and c) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3),(4), (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning providing legal access to third 1 parties in Town-owned rights-of-way for the construction and maintenance of privately owned fiber and conduit facilities. Item C was no longer scheduled for discussion. Motion carried 4-0, with Vice Mayor Yentes and Councilmembers Hendrix and Tilque absent. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING A MOTION was made by Councilmember Koprowski, seconded by Councilmember September to adjourn Executive Session and reconvene Special Meeting.
