MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 2022 AT 5:00 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER II, CONFERENCE ROOM 132, 90 E. CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Vice Mayor Aimee Yentes, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Yung Koprowski, Scott September, and Kathy Tilque COUNCIL ABSENT: STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Vice Mayor Yentes, to recess Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to: a) A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1) to conduct employment evaluation and discuss assignments of Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Presiding Judge David Cutchen, Town Attorney Christopher Payne and Town Manager Patrick Banger; and b) A.R.S. Sec. 38-431.03(A)(1) for discussion and consideration of employment of Gilbert Fire Chief candidates Michael Contreras, Robb Duggan, Val Gale, Raymond Hill and Scott Walker. Motion carried 5-0, with Councilmembers Koprowski and September absent for the vote. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING 1 A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Vice Mayor Yentes, to adjourn Executive Session and reconvene Special Meeting. Motion carried 6-0 with Councilmember Hendrix absent at the time of the vote.
