MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, MARCH 7, 2019 AT 6:00 P.M., ROOM 233, 50 EAST CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Eddie Cook, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Brigette Peterson, Jordan Ray, Jared Taylor and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Councilmember Ray called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Ray, seconded by Councilmember Peterson, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03, (A)(1): 1. To discuss applicants Nneka Aguwamba, Ken Costello, Lyman Davis, Patrick Finerd, Val Gale, Alan Kranzberg, Drew Langhart, James Matayabas Jr., Joseph Papapietro, Alicia Shields, and Brent Yap for the Industrial Development Authority; and 2. Legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion or consideration of appointment of members of judicial selection committee to review applications for the position of the Presiding Judge of Gilbert Municipal Court. Motion carried 7-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 6:15 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Councilmember Ray, seconded by Councilmember Taylor, to adjourn the meeting.
