MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, FEBRUARY 16, 2021 AT 5:00 P.M., ROOM 300, 50 EAST CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski; Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Scott September, Kathy Tilque, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Yentes, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38- 431.03(A)(1) to: a) interview applicants Bradley Johnston, Robert Larson, Stephanie Low, and Benjamin Mitsuda for the State Bar Member position(s) on the Judicial Selection and Advisory Board; b) interview applicants Juan Marcos Romero, Cheri Graham, Bus Obayomi, Donald Skousen, Tyler Thomas, and Robert Thornock for the Resident positions on the Judicial Selection and Advisory Board; and c) discuss and consider the applications of Courtney Boles, Matthew Foote, Sue Grace, and Dustin Reeves for the Self-Insured Trust Board. Motion carried 7--0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 6:11 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Councilmember September, seconded by Councilmember Tilque, to adjourn the meeting.
