MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 AT 5:00 P.M., ECHO ROOM 108, 6860 S. POWER ROAD, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Yung Koprowski, Scott September, and Kathy Tilque (attended virtually) COUNCIL ABSENT: Vice Mayor Aimee Yentes and Councilmember Laurin Hendrix CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember September, seconded by Councilmember Koprowski, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38- 431.03(A)(1) to: a) interview and consider applicants Mark Cichocki and Debra Stapleton for the Fire and Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) Local Pension Boards; b) interview and consider applicants Mary Dellai, Lindy Mitchell, and Debra Stapleton for Self- Insured Trust Board; and c) interview and consider applicants Lesley Davis, William Fay, Lisa Gage, Brian Johns, Charles Johnson, Phillip Pagels, Timothy A. Smith, and Cassandra Updike for the Planning Commission. Motion carried 5-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 6:47 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Councilmember September, seconded by Councilmember Koprowski, to adjourn the Special meeting.
