MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, AUGUST 14, 2023, AT 4:30 P.M., MUNICIPAL CENTER I, COMMUNITY ROOM 202, 50 E. CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Vice Mayor Kathy Tilque; Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Chuck Bongiovanni, Bobbi Buchli, Yung Koprowski, and Jim Torgeson COUNCIL ABSENT: None CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 4:31 p.m. RECESS OF SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Buchli, seconded by Councilmember Koprowski, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38- 431.03(A)(1) to interview and consider applicants David Barazoto, Reed Caldwell, Matt Carpenter, Jeff Deaver, Scott Dunnett, Sam Elliott, Greg Froehlich, Jason Gilmore, Karen Goldwasser, Kenneth Gregory, Eric McLeskey, Jason Robinson, Joseph Schneider, Fariya Sharif, and Matthew Smith for the Public Works Advisory Board. Kyle Cole, Marjorie Gillingham, and Gina Starkey withdrew their applicants and were not interviewed. Motion carried 6-0; Councilmember Bongiovanni arrived at 4:33 p.m. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 8:21 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Vice Mayor Tilque, seconded by Councilmember Koprowski, to adjourn the Special meeting.
