CITY OF GLENDALE—LEGISLATIVE, JUDICIARY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes April 22, 2019 Meeting was called to order at 5:46 p.m. Roll Call: Present: Ald. Tomika Vukovic, Richard Wiese, and JoAnn Shaw. Absent: None. Other Officials Present: City Administrator Rachel Safstrom; City Attorney John Fuchs; Police Chief Mark Ferguson, and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Candice Green. ADOPTION OF MINUTES. Motion was made by Ald. Vukovic, seconded by Ald. Wiese to approve the minutes of the meeting held on March 25, 2019. Ayes: Ald. Shaw, Wiese, and Vukovic. Noes: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. Motion carried unanimously. REVIEW AND CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION FOR FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES, CLASS “B” (BEER) RETAILER LICENSE, AND “CLASS C” (WINE) RETAILER LICENSE, LOCATED AT 7035 NORTH PORT WASHINGTON ROAD. The Legislative, Judiciary and Finance Committee considered the application for a Class “B” (beer) Retailer License, and “Class C” (wine) Retailer License, located at 7035 North Port Washington Road. Administrator Safstrom stated that the State of Wisconsin requires any business selling alcohol to have an Alcohol Beverage License. No concerns were stated by Chief Ferguson. Ald. Wiese questioned the ability of the applicant to sell beer for off-premises consumption. Attorney Fuchs stated this is similar to any restaurant being able to sell a six-pack of beer to a customer. However, they are not required to be able to offer this option. Motion was made by Ald. Wiese, seconded by Ald. Vukovic to recommend the Common Council approve a Class “B” (beer) Retailer License, and “Class C” (wine) Retailer License, located at 7035 North Port Washington Road. Ayes: Ald. Shaw, Wiese and Vukovic. Noes: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. Motion carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT. There being no further business, motion was made by Ald. Wiese, seconded by Ald. Vukovic, to adjourn the meeting. Ayes: Ald. Shaw, Wiese, and Shaw. Noes: None. Absent: None. Abstain: None.
