City of Glendale Official Minutes – Music in the Glen Meeting March 20, 2019 Meeting was called to order at 3:35 p.m. Roll Call: Present: JoAnn Shaw, Chair; Members; Rita Radke, Robert Radke, Lee Carey Johnson and Tristann Rieck. Absent: Staff Present: Anna Voigt, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Guest: Ann Deuser, Executive Director of Welcome to Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Open Meeting Notice. In accordance with the Open Meeting Law, the local news media was advised on Thursday, March 15, 2019, of the date of this meeting; that the agenda was posted on the official bulletin board of City Hall, the Glendale Police Department, and the North Shore Library; that copies of the agenda were made available to the general public in the Municipal Building and the Police Department, and those persons who requested, were sent copies of the agenda. Adoption of Minutes of meeting held on February 6, 2019 Motion was made by Ms. Carey Johnson, seconded by Ms. Radke, approving the minutes held on February 6, 2019 with corrections. Update on Contracts Ms. Shaw informed the committee she sent out contracts to everyone except Kay Stiefel & Jack Forbes Wilson. Kids from Wisconsin, Eric Diamond, and Groove Therapy have sent back contracts. Ms. Shaw was going to check with Eric Diamond to make sure he understands that there will not be a trick – track. Mr. Radke talked with Nicolet High School and they would be able to do a show June 4. Mr. and Ms. Radke are going to find out more details, like how much it may cost, if it would be in the evening, and would there be enough time to market the concert. Staff would check the venue availability. Discuss Sponsorship Status / Fundraising Options Ms. Deuser stated that all of the acts have potential sponsors. She contacted Kids from Wisconsin about posters. She would like to start making posters and the booklet by May 4th. Request from Individual to Have a Booth Doris Appelbaum would like to have a booth at the Ladies Must Swing to make veteran’s aware of her resume service. Ms. Deuser is going to check with the sponsor of the show. Set Next Meeting Date The committee scheduled the next meeting for April 30, 2019 at 3:30 PM at Richard E. Maslowski Community Park. Old/New Business Ms. Deuser asked if the committee was still interested in putting up a sign across the street from City Hall. She is going to ask the City Administrator what needs to be to get a sign and if the City would be interested in having a sign for other announcements. Mr. Imig, Director of Public Works, will be taking over the park duties. Ms. Deuser is going to work on some of the committee’s suggestions with Mr. Imig. Adjournment Motion was made by Mr. Rieck , and seconded by Mr. Radke to adjourn the meeting at 4:36 PM until April 30, 2019 at 3:30 PM. Respectfully submitted, Anna Voigt Deputy Clerk / Treasurer
