No action or deliberation by the Council will take place.  City of Glendale Official Minutes – Music in the Glen Meeting April 1, 2020 Meeting was called to order at 5:02 p.m. by the Chair via Zoom Roll Call: Present: JoAnn Shaw, Chair; Members: Lee Carey, Tristann Rieck, Steve Shaw and Laura Emir. Absent: Carrie Scheldroup Staff Present: Rachel Safstrom, City Administrator Guest: Ann Deuser, Executive Director of Welcome to Glendale Convention, Visitors, and Business Association; Jesse BaDour, Administrative Assistant at Welcome to Glendale Convention, Visitors, and Business Association Approval of March 4, 2020, Meeting Minutes Motion by Ms. Carey, seconded by Mrs. Emir, to approve the March 4, 2020, Meeting Minutes. Motion carried. Review Acts for the Upcoming Season Chair Shaw reported the Nicolet contract was received, and the committee had concerns of whether the summer festivals through July should remain scheduled due to COVID-19. Motion by Ms. Rieck, seconded by Mrs. Carey, to cancel Music in the Glen for the 2020 season due to COVID-19 and reinstate the acts for the 2021 season. Motion carried. Mrs. Deuser indicated she will post the 2020 season cancellation, as well as the excitement for the 2021 season on the Music in the Glen website and Facebook when Mrs. Shaw creates content. Administrator Safstrom will then post the content on Next Door. The committee discussed the possibility of adding a band for the second concert in August 2021. Concert Night Logistics Concert Nights for the 2020 season have been cancelled. Discuss Fundraising Options Mrs. Deuser will contact the vendors regarding the cancellation of the 2020 Music in the Glen season and thank the vendors for their interest in participating. Next Meeting Date – May 6, 2020 The committee confirmed the next meeting for May 6, 2020, at 5:00 p.m., via Zoom.
