CITY OF GOLD BAR, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 18-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GOLD BAR, WASHINGTON AMENDING THE CITY’S FEE SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the City’s Fee Schedule did not include low income senior citizen discount rates for water and water assessments; and WHEREAS, rates for low income senior citizens were listed in Gold Bar Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, Ordinance #715 amended municipal code to remove senior disability rates from the code and add those rates to the fee schedule; and WHEREAS, citizens outside City limits but on City water cannot pay the same rates for water and water assessments as residents inside City limits, based on Department of Health regulations; and WHEREAS, past fees were the same for low income senior citizens, inside and outside City limits; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of Gold Bar that Section VII, Water System Fees, of the Fee Schedule for the City shall have two new sections added as follows and shall amend Section X, Stormwater fees, as follows. I. Section VII (E), Standard Monthly Water Rates II. Section VII (F), Water Assessment Rates III. Section X, Stormwater Rates III. Severability IV. Effective Date I. Section VII (E) Standard monthly water rates 6. Rates for qualifying low income senior citizens inside City limits: a. Base fee - $3.00 7. Rates for qualifying low income senior citizens outside City limits: a. Base fee - $4.00 II. Section VII (F) Water Assessment Rates 3. Rates for qualifying low income senior citizens inside City limits: a. Assessment - $15.41 4. Rates for qualifying low income senior citizens outside City limits: a. Assessment - $15.41 III. Section X, Stormwater Rates 1. Stormwater rates shall be $9.85 per household, commercial business, and/or unit. 2. Stormwater rates for qualifying low income senior citizens shall be $7.43. III. Severability This resolution is severable and if any portion of it shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining portion shall remain valid and enforceable. IV. Effective Date This resolution shall take effect from the date of its adoption. Resolved this ____ day of _______________, 2018.
