Main Street Grand Prairie, Texas Meeting Agenda Special Emergency City Council Meeting Wednesday, September 04, 2024 4:00 PM City Council Chamber Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 551, V. T. C. A., Government Code, notice is hereby given of an emergency special meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Grand Prairie, Texas, to be held in the Council Chamber, 300 W. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas. An emergency or urgent public health necessity exists within the meaning of Texas Government Code, Section 551.045(b) and immediate action or deliberation is required of the Grand Prairie City Council because of an imminent threat to public health and safety caused by a water advisory affecting residents north of Interstate 20. As a result, and in accordance with Texas Government Code Section 551.045, notice is hereby given of an emergency meeting of the Grand Prairie City Council. CALL TO ORDER EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council may conduct a closed session pursuant to Chapter 551, Subchapter D of the Government Code, V.T.C.A., to discuss any of the following: (1) Section 551.071 “Consultation with Attorney” (2) Section 551.072 “Deliberation Regarding Real Property” (3) Section 551.074 “Personnel Matters” (4) Section 551.076 “Deliberation regarding security devices or security audits; closed meeting.” (5) Section 551.087 “Deliberations Regarding Economic Development Negotiations.” City Council also reserves the right to discuss any agenda item in closed session when authorized by the above referenced provisions.
