Village of Grantsburg Plan Commission Meeting Monday, October 9, 2023 The Plan Commission for the Village of Grantsburg met on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the Village Board Room, 316 S. Brad Street, Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Present: Trustee Greg Peer, Members Brent Blomberg, Tyler Myers, Natalie Finch, Absent: Chairman/President Terrance Kucera, Members LuAnn Ebersold, Angie Anderson. Others present: DPW John Erickson, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Allison Longhenry, Trustee Hank Java, Steve Lee, Josh Steinert & father, Alan Kortan Call to Order Acting Chairman/Trustee Peer called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Minutes Motion by Member Blomberg, second by Member Myers to approve the minutes of the October 2, 2023, Plan Commission meeting as presented. Motion passed unanimously. 5:00 p.m. Public Hearing – Joshua Steinert zoning change Chairman/Trustee Peer called the Public Hearing to order at 5:30 p.m. C/T Meyer read the Public Hearing Notice. Chairman/Trustee Peer asked for anyone wishing to speak in favor of the change in zoning request. Josh Steinert spoke saying he wanted to build a single-family home on a lot he recently purchased and would like to change the existing R-4 zoning to R-2. Chairman/Trustee Peer asked for anyone wishing to speak against the request. No one spoke. The Public Hearing was closed at 5:33 p.m. Motion by Trustee Peer, second by Member Blomberg to recommend the Village Board approve Joshua Steinert’s request to change the zoning at 715 N. Pine Street (parcel 07-131-2-38-19-11-5 15-085-024000) from R-4 Multiple-Family Residential District to R-2 Single-Family Residential District (Medium Density). Motion passed unanimously. North Gate Russell Street Addition plat Steve Lee, Azimuth Surveying, LLC, informed the Plan Commission that the CSM to split lots along Russell Street they approved at the September 11, 2023, meeting required more than the Certified Survey Map. Burnett County and the State of WI require a revised plat be filed to split lots 2,3,4,5, and 6 located on the west side of N. Russell Street. Lee presented a copy of the revised plat. Motion by Member Finch, second by Member Blomberg to recommend the Village Board approve the final plat for North Gate Russell Street Addition as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
