Village of Grantsburg Village Board of Trustees Special Meeting Thursday, March 28, 2024 The Board of Trustees for the Village of Grantsburg met on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Village Board Room, 316 S. Brad Street, Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Present: President Terrance Kucera, Trustee Diane Barton, Trustee Maurice DJ Henderson, Trustee Leo Janke, Trustee John McNally Absent: Trustee Greg Peer, Trustee Hank Java Others: Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Allison Longhenry Call to Order President Kucera called the Special Village Board meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Clerk/Treasurer Meyer conducted roll call. The pledge of allegiance was recited. President Kucera asked C/T Meyer to explain the Industrial Park Expansion project bidding process and results, SEH’s recommendation and U. S. Department of Commerce/Economic Development Administration’s (DOC/EDA) authorization. C/T Meyer reported 6 bids were received at the February 1, 2024, bid opening. All bid numbers were confirmed by SEH, and they recommend accepting the low bid of $2,197,050 from McCabe Construction, Inc., Eau Claire, Wisconsin. All items required by DOC/EDA were completed and submitted and EDA’s authorization letter to award the bid to McCabe Construction was received. C/T Meyer also explained awarding the bid prior to April 1st (60 days from bid opening) would eliminate the need to ask McCabe and EDA for extensions. Motion by President Kucera, second by Trustee Barton to award the construction contract for the Industrial Park Expansion project to McCabe Construction, Inc., Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in the amount of $2,197,050.
