3. Approval of latest minutes on Tuesday, May 19, 2026
4. Arts Picnic Booth: Public Art / GAC will be hosting a booth at the 47 th Annual Arts
Picnic event at Lincoln Park, July 25 th and July 26th. Volunteer hours are blocked
off per hour 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday. One
volunteer is needed at the booth to accompany Public Art staff, and a signup
sheet will be available to fill time slots. Volunteer hours can be one to multiple
hours.
5. Arts Picnic Local Art Exhibit: 70 artists have participated in the annual art exhibit
at The Tointon Gallery. Votes from commissioners are requested to help decide
“People’s Choice” award and possible artwork purchases.

Non-Action Items: Please review below before the meeting. Items will be addressed if
there are questions, requests for information, or if the committee chair and/or if the
City of Greeley Public Art staff would like to share updates.
1. Project Reports
a. Water Treatment and Reclamation Sculpture by Josh Bales
i. Ongoing fabrication and finishing process
ii. Installation date will be reported once established
b. Paint the Town Proposed Projects
i. Weld Walls 2026 on 16th Street
ii. Traffic Control Cabinet Wraps
iii. IT building with Greeley Grays Mural
2. Maintenance and Repair
a. The Prize Catch (1999) by Kurt Jungblut has been cleaned,
repaired, reinstalled, and waxed at Glenmere Park on July 3, 2026.
Jo DeDecker at Sculpture Services of Colorado LLC was hired for
the job and invoiced Public Art $600 for the repair.
b. Sculpture Services of Colorado LLC has proposed a bid to
maintain the City of Greeley Public Art bronze sculptures for
around $7,000. A set of bronze sculptures can be cleaned and
waxed this year for $3,500, and the remaining set to be cleaned
and waxed the next year for $3,500.
c. Of the Earth II (2022) by Wes Sam Bruce at Campos Esperanza
has become weathered on the rock/concrete portions of the
installation. The City of Greeley Finance Department is planning
to volunteer to do landscaping around the area in August and
can be tasked to prime the weathered rock/concrete portions.
Paint reapplication will be tasked to Wes and/or Public Art staff.
Estimated $500 - $1,000 material cost.
3. The Tointon Gallery
a. Arts Picnic Local Art Exhibit: Art Reception on Friday, July 24, 2026
from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Free to the public and all are invited.
