City Council Meetings

City of Green River, City Council Workshop Proceedings for February 11, 2020, 6:30 pm, Council Chambers, Mayor Pete Rust called the meeting to order. The following Council Members were present: Gary Killpack, Lisa Maes, Michael Shutran, Tom Murphy and Jim Zimmerman. The following were present representing the City: Deputy Clerk Tara Smith. A Continuation of Council Priorities and Goal Setting. The Mayor and Council Members discussed their priorities and goals. Council Member Zimmerman said his three most important goals are streets, quality of life and expanding to the west. Council Member Maes said hers are outdoor recreation, Green Belt improvements and Viaduct improvements. The Mayor said his are the UP Depot, Green Belt enhancement and murals/art. Council Member Murphy said his are getting fire coverage outside of current limits in Jamestown and safety on the river. Council Member Killpack said his are hiring a new marketing person, capitalize on being the Trona Capital of the World and quality of life. Council Member Shutran said his are boat ramp development and cleanup on the river, fish exhibit on the Island, and extension of the Green Belt both ways.
