City Council Meetings

City of Green River, City Council Workshop Proceedings for March 10, 2020, 6:30 pm, Council Chambers, Council President Gary Killpack called the meeting to order. The following Council Members were present: Robert Berg, Lisa Maes, Tom Murphy and Jim Zimmerman. The following were present representing the City: City Administrator Reed Clevenger, Director of Public Works Mark Westenskow. Considerations and Direction in the Development and Expansion for the Future of Green River. Council and staff discussed the positive and negatives of expanding to the west. There is a lot involved with going in that direction because of the annexation of Jamestown, zoning and ordinance changes and upgrades to current water and the addition of sewer services that will need to be done. Looking in to it now is a great way to start the ability to move forward for the future and also helps the City make the right decisions along the way. Council said they would like to see affordable housing here in Green River for people coming in for the expansions at the mines and to bring people here to stay. They would like to see rooftops here in Green River which will increase the population and bring more funding in.
