Call to Order Council President Shipley called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Brian W. Shipley, Council President Pamela S. Auchter, Council Vice President Thomas D’Alfonso Jr., Councilor Theodore Jones, Councilor Pete Longiotti, Councilor Alfred L. Peden, Councilor Jasson W. Urey, Councilor Peter A. Candela, Mayor James Douglas, Solicitor Also present: Staff: Frank Vanderslice, Tax Collector Dennis Stephens, Police Chief Mary Jane Hirt, ACT 47 Coordinator Tracey Vale, Treasurer Scott Graubard, Public Services Director Norma Anderton Don Patterson, Code Officer Anthony D’Alfonso Nancy Little, Borough Secretary Donald Eakman Media: Caleb Stright, Record-Argus 3. New Business The Public Hearing was called to discuss vacating a portion of Cement Alley. Ms. Anderton, who made the initial request, asked the entire alley be given to her and not split down the middle with Calvary United Methodist Church, the adjoining owner. Mr. Eakman, Calvary United Methodist Church Trustee Chairman, said there is a catch basin at the southeast corner of Cement Alley and asked if the borough would retain responsibility for it. Councilor Longiotti said if there is piping under the alley an easement may be required. Councilor Peden said there are two portions of alley, one that’s growing grass and one that has old cement, and asked Ms. Anderton to clarify what part she was requesting. Ms. Anderton verified the grassy area, from Franklin Street to her property line, a distance of about sixty (60) feet. 1 Borough of Greenville Council Minutes 09.08.11 Solicitor Douglas requested time to review the request and the matter was tabled for the present. 4.
