Town of Greenville Work Session Minutes 12/06/23 www.greenvilleborough.com MINUTES OF A WORK SESSION MEETING OF THE TOWN OF GREENVILLE COUNCIL HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. 1. Call to Order Paul Hamill, Mayor If you are a visitor to council, we ask you to please sign in at the door and turn off all cellular telephones. 2. Invocation: Deacon Frank Luciani, St. Michael’s Church Flag Salute led by Mayor Paul Hamill 3. Roll Call: Paul Hamill, Mayor Linda Zuschlag, Deputy Mayor Tracy Beil, Councilor Anne Butcher, Councilor Jean Carr, Councilor Sean Hall, Councilor Evan Hereford, Councilor - Excused Jasson W. Urey, Town Manager Solicitor, Douglas, Joseph & Olson Also present: Frank Vanderslice Marc Mariacher Chad Bromley Frank Luciani Joel Rinella Ed Taczanowsky Staff: Media: Amy Hollowell, Administrative Assistant Earl Corp, The Record-Argus Rosalynn Reagle – Assistant Manager Matt Breedlove – Assistant Code Officer 4. Public Comments (5-minute time limit) Residents: Mr. Joel Rinella inquired about the website and budget items. Mr. Ed Taczanowsky spoke in favor of Mr. Mirizio, a candidate in item K. Page 1 of 2 Town of Greenville Work Session Minutes 12/06/23 Mr. Marc Mariacher questioned recent violations issued by the Code Department. Non-Residents: None. 5. Public Comments (Related to agenda items – 5 minutes time limit) Mr. Joel Rinella expressed a willingness to serve as the alternate member of the Zoning Hearing Board. He also questioned his appointment early in the year. 6. Council Comments Councilor Hall announced next Monday is his last meeting and council should wear ugly Christmas sweaters for the meeting. Councilor Butcher thanked the Greenville Chamber of Commerce for the Christmas Parade last weekend. She also invited all to attend the Greenville High School Music Department’s Christmas Concerts on December 12 & 13, 2023. Councilor Carr reminded all of Santa’s Mailbox in Central Park. 7. Mayor’s Comments – None 8. Town Manager’s Comments – Mr. Urey responded to Mr. Rinella’s comments explaining the requirement of a resolution to make appointments to the Zoning Hearing Board. 9. Discuss the motion to award the Sewer Lateral Inspection contract with the only bid received for $250 for a residential inspection, $350 for a commercial inspection, and no charge for a re- inspection to Steve Vosler, 376 Mercer Road Greenville, for sewer lateral inspections in the Page 3 of 4 Town of Greenville for a period from February 1, 2024, through January 31, 2027, with the option of two additional one-year extensions.
