Council met in regular session with additional members present: Police Chief Steve Dorsey, Acting Clerk,
Jennifer Meyer, and Solicitor Palmer
Visitors: Dick Shriver from Shiloh OH, came to discuss a safety concern for the stop sign/intersection at
Townsend St and Main, involving large vehicles parking on Main St and not having a clear distance when
pulling out.

Phillips moved to accept the minutes of the July 5, 2017 Council Meeting, with one Correction: the amount of
the Townsend St Bid came in at $126,501.00. Wilson second. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, Lloyd Yes,
King Yes, Wilson Yes, Bovia Abstain, and Shoemaker Yes.
Shoemaker moved to accept the invoices in amount of $164,371.69, Bovia second; Vote as follows: King

Administrator’s Report: Administrator Giles stated that they are continuing to work on the projects that had
been previously discussed and that the project for Townsend St is ok for bidding and that project will start in
the fall. Mr. Bovia asked if there was a certain date that it was going to begin and Giles stated that it is up to
the contractors to set a date. His office is working on 2018’s street plans, while looking at New St for 2018’s
street repair. Road rating is one of the worst and that funding will need to be found. The winter salt contract
came in $34.51 a ton and we bought 45 tons at $1552.00.

Police Chief’s Report: Chief Dorsey stated that the new cruiser equipment has been ordered and it will be
about 3 weeks till it will be completed. The Opto traffic cam is generating about the same as it did last year in
tickets and collection, about two weeks ago it clocked a vehicle going 78 mph through down town. Crime has
picked up due to the weather and that is everywhere, not just Greenwich. Police Reports will be up to date as
of tomorrow, they are currently behind about 4 days. No trucking permits have been turned back in as of
today and that the enforcement of the Ordinance will take place on July 24th, as well as summons being
issued for excessive trash and broke down vehicles.

Council Discussion: Mr. Bovia stated that the gun raffle went very well with no incidences. It turned out to
be a great event and that money was made for the Greenwich Improvement Group
