VILLAGE OF GREENWICH – STATE OF OHIO Administration Offices: 45 Main Street. Wilson Yes, Phillips Yes Council met in regular session with additional members present: Mayor Wesley Sallee, Police Chief Steve Dorsey, and Zoning Inspector Cles Inmon. Clerks Report: N/A Shoemaker moved to accept council minutes of the January 2, 2019 meeting, R. Wilson seconded. Vote as followed: Lloyd Yes, King Yes, Shoemaker Yes, R. Wilson Yes, Phillips Yes, T. Finance Committee 02/05/19 @ 6:00 PM Records Commission 05/07/19 @ 6:30 PM Fire Board 02/04/19 @ 7:00 PM Ambulance Board 02/11/19 @ 5:00 PM Administrator’s Report: Administrator Giles will be switching to State mythology to apply for the South Kniffin Project. The village has moved forward for an opportunity of receiving loan and/or grant. Police: Chief and officers have been cleaning out upstairs and trying to rid the hall of junk that has been stored for years. He will get with Solicitor for resolution to permit junk to be destroyed. Shelby Primary Care donated 12 matching chairs to the police department. Chief mentioned the levy that Mayor had talked about in his state of village address. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 Mayor’s Report: Mayor questioned several projects including Annexation to see where it stands. This opened up a large range of answers and questions from council. T Wilson said that someone was supposed to meet with board to find out how SCHS stood on possible annexation: King’s thought was to maybe meet with Superintendent of school to see how his reactions were: King felt that the Village really had nothing to offer the school to want them to be annex: Chief feels that residents are not aware that the school is in jurisdiction of County and not village, he feels that the council members are not tough enough. T. Wilson thinks that utilities should play apart in why annexation should exist. Mike King and T. Wilson will meet with Superintendent. Council Discussion: N/A Unfinished Business: R. Wilson Yes AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATORTO APPOINT AND EMPLOYEE ONE (1) ADDITIONAL UTILITY WORKER SUBJECT TO THE WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
