Greenwood Council Meeting Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 6:00pm Council Chambers The meeting was called to order by Council President Schecklman. Roll call- Schecklman, Ashbeck, Jordan, and Nelson all present. Hansen absent. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Public Works Director Eddie Herrick, Marie Eichman and representatives from MSA Professional Services. New Business: 1. Marie Eichman presented to council her concerns for the parking lanes on East Central being removed. She discussed a safety concern for her elderly with the limited parking would like to have a few more spots. Council agreed to review on the September 21, 2022 meeting. 2. Schecklman motioned to approve the W. Miller Street Reconstruction Owner & Engineering Contract: Design and Bidding with MSA Professional Services. Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes. Motion carried. 3. Discussion was made on crack sealing and patching for 2022. Herrick mentioned with equipment repairs that came up unexpectedly we would not have enough funds to do as much sealing and patching as we had previously budgeted for. Council advised Herrick to seal and patch what they can with the remaining funds. 4. Nelson motioned to approve the bills for August as presented. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 5. Ashbeck motioned to approve the minutes as written for July and August. Jordan seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 6. Ashbeck motioned to repair the street departments trailer deck for time and materials up to $5,500. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 7. Discussion was made on the Halloween trick-or-treating hours. Council asked Schar to make a poll on Facebook. Further discussion will take place at the September 21, 2022 meeting. 8. Schecklman motioned to approve the City Procurement Policy resolution 8-22. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 9. Schecklman motioned to raise street department part time employee Don Finck to $17.00 effective September 7, 2022 per the personnel committee recommendation. Ashbeck seconded the motion.
