Greenwood Council Meeting Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 6:00pm 102 N Main St- Greenwood Area Library The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Nelson, Hinker, and Ashbeck all present. Bolf absent. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Utility Director Trent Johnson, Public Works Director Eddie Herrick, and Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth. Members of the public present Pat Klinke, Harold Dillenbeck, Andrew Kohnert. New Business: 1. Harold Dillenbeck a member of the Black River Bowmans Club was present to inform the Council membership has gone up to 15-20 with hopes of additional members in 2025. They have received enough funds to cover insurances and would like to extend the contract until March 31, 2026. Bolf motioned to approve the contract extension. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 2. Nelson motioned to approve operators’ licenses for Adriana Susa, Dakota Day, and Jedediah Gabel. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 3. Discussion regarding the City’s PA System. The FFA Alumni uses the system during their Summer Fest pulling events. They would like the system to be donated to them to be able to make permanent changes to the system to better fit their needs. The system is used occasionally but other various city events. Discussion tabled at this time. 4. Library remodel that made a space for a social services and health room was completed by Gardner Carpentry. Ashbeck motioned to approve the final pay request for $23,914.55. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 5. Nelson motioned to approve a policy for the police department to allow them to charge for the redaction of audio and video records. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 6. Nelson motioned to approve the bills and treasurer’s report as presented. Bolf seconded the motion. Roll call vote. All ayes. Motion carried. 7. Ashbeck motioned to approve the minutes as written.
