Greenwood Council Meeting Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 6:00pm 201 S Main St- Council Chambers The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Nelson, Behrens, Hinker and Ashbeck all present. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Public Works Director Eddie Herrick, Police Chief Andrew Kohnert, Utility Director Trent Johnson and Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth. Harold Dillenbeck with the Black River Bowmen’s Club was also in attendance. Public Comment: 1. Pat Klinke updated the Council on the Main Street signs and budget. The signs have been installed and the landscaping has been completed. The committee was able to raise all funds necessary to complete the project in its entirety and everything looks beautiful! New Business: 1. Nelson motioned to approve an operator’s license for Mariza Wepfer and Kassandra Humke. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 2. Behrens motioned to approve picnic licenses for End of Summer Fest and the Branstiter Museum on September 6, 2025. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 3. Behrens motioned to approve placing a “Little Library” donated by Greenwood Elementary School Librarian at George Scherer park. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes Motion carried. 4. Nelson motioned to approve a wage increase for Robert Landini as recommended by the Personnel Committee. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 5. Hinker motioned to approve the purchase of a new KSB Mixer for the treatment plant to replace the existing Sulzer for $9648 from Crane Engineering. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 6. Discussion with Dillenbeck regarding the Black River Bowmen’s Club. The club does not have enough funds to cover the cost of the insurance that is required and will be running out as of August 31, 2025. The club is planning to disband and will work with its members to clean up the property and return it in good condition. Dillenbeck also would like to donate the remaining building/ structure to the city for its use. The building is newer and would be a nice for storage. No motions made. A formal request to disband and not continue the contract will follow at a later date. 7. Nelson motioned to approve the bills and vouchers as presented. Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried. 8. Ashbeck motioned to approve the minutes as written. Behrens seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried. 9. Ashbeck motioned to adjourn.
