ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Hedrick, Deputy Mayor Depot, Councilor Patterson, Councilor Piazza, Councilor Sheffield and Councilor Norris (via Zoom). Excused: Councilor Artale. II. NEW BUSINESS OR REFERRALS A. ARPA Review 1. Small Business Grant Motion to move to the Mayor and Council meeting November 18, 2024: Deputy Mayor Depot. Second: Councilor Sheffield. Motion carried, 5-0-0. 2. Amend List Motion to move to the Mayor and Council meeting November 18, 2024: Deputy Mayor Depot. Second: Councilor Piazza. Motion carried, 5-0-0. B. Public Works 1. Municipal Basement Plumbing Public Works Director Sedlmeier presented Council with a resolution for plumbing line replacement to one of the police department locker rooms located in the basement of the municipal building. Locker room in question has for several years required plumbing maintenance due to frequent back-ups. Due to the ongoing issues, it was determined installation of new sewer line and integration of a “high-flow” system, should alleviate the issues and produce a permanent solution. 1  Special COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE City Municipal Building | Council Chambers 295 Meridian Street, Groton, CT 06340 In order to secure ARPA funding and commence project as soon as possible, the request was brought to Council today to avoid further delay. Motion to move to the Mayor and Council meeting November 18, 2024: Deputy Mayor Depot. Second: Councilor Piazza. Motion carried, 5-0-0. III. ADJOURNMENT Motion to adjourn: Councilor Piazza.
